DALLEY I.lax Dalley, principal of the Parowan High School, and a graduate of the Branch Agricultural Agricul-tural College, class of 1934, has been chosen as master of ceremonies cere-monies for the annual Alumni Banquet and Dance which will be held in Hotel El Escalante Thursday Thurs-day evening, May 20 at 7:30. L. Robert Gardner, president of the council announced today the candidates for council members. Ten names fcave been selected by a nominating committee headed by Arthur Higbee and five members mem-bers will be selected at the banquet. ban-quet. Those who will vie for the council include: Arvilla H. Day, Mrs. Elloyd Marchant, Mrs. Walter Walt-er K. Granger, Mrs. W. Arthur Jones, Mrs. Hamblin Leigh, Wilson Wil-son N. Lunt, V. R. Magleby, Mrs. Elfred Olson, Mrs. Douglas Ence and Richard Leigh. Emphasis this year on the banquet ban-quet program, has been made on a short, snappy but entertaining program, Mr. Gardner emphasized. empha-sized. Musical entertainment will include in-clude a vocal trio composed of Renee Halversen, LaRae Stapley, Yvonne Fife, accompanied by Alan Seegmiller. A string ensemble ensem-ble will also perform. Speakers will be confined to a toast to the graduates and toasts to the alumni association, Mr. Gardner stated. Following the banquet at the hotel the group will move to the C S U ballroom where the dance will be held. Five members will leave the council this year and the election elec-tion of council officers will be held after the election Thursday evening. An invitation for all alumni members to attend the affair has been extended. All members of the council have tickets on advance ad-vance sale, it was pointed out. |
