'k ' i Following their marriage in the St. George Temple Saturday, Sat-urday, March 26 Mr. and Mrs. Gaylan Vaughan Bagley, left for a honeymoon trip which included touring other L D S Temples in the Mountain West. The bride is the former for-mer Janice Heywood. . I Double Ring Ceremony in St. George Temple Unites Janice Heywood and Gaylan Baqley I A double ring wedding ceremony, cere-mony, performed in the quiet atmosphere at-mosphere of the St. George L D S temple, bound Gaylan Vaughan Bagley and Janice Heywood in wedlock Saturday, Mar. 26. Presiding Pre-siding at the ceremony was President Presi-dent Harold S. Snow. The new Mrs. Bagley is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James ! Heywood of Cedar City. Mr. Bag-ley Bag-ley is the son of Mr. and Mrs. I Oliver Bagley of Fair View, Wyo., which is located in the famous Star Valley. ! Following the nuptial exchange .the young couple returned to Cedar City where they were hon- ored at a reception at the home of the bride's parents at 291 So. Main Street. Spring flowers and blossoms from Utah's Dixie were used as decorations for the reception and a beautiful wedding cake adorned adorn-ed the room on a lace covered table with crystal candelabra on either end. Winnie Heywood, sister of the the bride, assisted as maid of honor at the. reception, and Audrey Au-drey Thompson, Aurella Jones and Jane Mackelprang attended as bridesmaids. Leon Stevenson, former Cedar City resident, now attending the College of Southern Utah, stood as best man. Kay and Joe Heywood, brothers of the bride, ushered at the postnuptial post-nuptial event, and Mary Alice Heywood, petite, younger sister, was the flower girj. Audrey and Yolande Thomp son, friends of the couple from Hawaii, who are attending the Brigham Young University, sang during the evening and Kay Heywood Hey-wood furnished background piano music. Serving at the reception were Mrs. Nolan Stokes, Mrs. Austin Heywood, Mrs. Wm. B. Adams, Mrs. Alma Decker, Mrs. D. Ned Sargent, Mrs. Bert Langford, Mrs. Ardella Ford and Mrs. Francis A. Esplin. Assisting in the gift room were Anna Smith, Carol Williams and Kay Knitawa. In charge of the guest book were, Mrs. Alyson Smith Bushnell and Mrs. Rodney Leany. Janice is a graduate of the Cedar Ce-dar City High School and has attended at-tended the C S U and B Y U. The bridegroom is a gradaute of the B Y U department of education. The couple will make their home in Provo where both have employment. Thev have planned a tour of L D S Temples on their honeymoon trip. They Intend to visit temples ot Manti, Salt Lake City, Logan and Idaho Falls. |
