Show Parowan Opens Hoop j Season Friday ' Agfainst Gunnison Coach Bruce Decker's Parowan high school basketball team will open its practice season tomor- : row, Friday night, on the local j floor, taking on the Gunnison high school team, one of the , strongest outfits in the Sevier 1 division. And at the same time : basketball fans of this area will j see the game in the new Paro- . wan high school gymnasium, one j of the finest in the entire state. wan squad will take on the Piute : high school team on the local j floor, to round out the week end. The following night the Paro- ; Coach Decker has seven men back from last year's squad that : played in the state tournament, and to this group he has added eight more boys for the practice ; season, although he may cut his squad to 12 men after this week ; he announces. Back from last year's squad are David Orton, Tommy Dobrusky and Melvin K. Hyatt of the starting five, along with Gale Stolk, Roy Benson, Eric Clark and Donald Gurr.
