Show John Rowley Wins Army Commendation PFC John G. Rowley, son of Mrs. Wanda Miller of Cedar City, returned to the states last week after eipht. months service with the United States Army in Korea. Upon ai rival in San Francisco he was transferred to Camp Stoneman, before being granted a leave to come home. Before leaving for home PFC Rowley was awarded the Commendation Com-mendation Ribbon in Korea. He was cited for his meritorious service ser-vice from last May 26 to July 27, as a smoke generator with I Corps, Tlst Chemical Company. According to the citation with his award, Rowley's "awareness of the true value of his equipment to the unit and its varied missions, mis-sions, enabled him to train and be prepared for any emergency which may arise in combat." Rowley entered the army in January, 1952 and completed his basic training at Camp Roberts, Calif. He served on Okinawa before be-fore being sent to Korea last April. |
