Show i Draft Calls Five Iron j County Men j To Fill July Quota ' Nine Iron county men have been ordered to report at the induction in-duction center at Fort Douglas next Wednesday, July 8, five of them to be inducted into mili-j tary serivce and the other four to report for preinduction physical phy-sical examinations. As war. reported last week the induction quota of men is being filled from men who have been studying at the colleges of the state during the past winter. However, one change was made in the tentative list of men announced an-nounced last week. Garth Whitney Whit-ney of Parowan, who has been on an L D S mission and upon his return joined the R O T C at Brigham Young University, dropped from the ROTC ranks and became the first man on the list of county inductees for July. This resulted in Mac Lyman, also of Parowan, who was the youngest young-est of the group, whose induction induc-tion had been postponed while they were in school, being granted grant-ed at least another month before be-fore reporting. The other four ordered to report re-port next week are Gordon Beth-ers, Beth-ers, Donald Jones and Gail Brad- shaw of Cedar City, and Clark Mitchell of Parowan. The four men who have been ordered to report for pre-induc-tinn physicals are Blaine Tueller, who now resides in Logan; Robert Rob-ert A. Wofter, who resides in Ida- 'ho; David Heber Hansen, Cedar City, and Thomas Kelly Dalton, j Parowan. |
