JANET WASDEN m pMIIIWlimWI.PlWW)lMIWWMI v j A CAROL ANN PARRY Arriving in Columbus, Ohio today to-day will be two young ladies of Cedar City who are attending the seventh national meeting of the Future Homemakers of America. Janet Wasden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Newel Wasden and Carol Ann Parry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gronway Parry Par-ry were selected as Utah delegates dele-gates to the national confab. Additional interest to southern Utah people is the fact that Miss Wasden is running this year for the position of national treasurer. treasur-er. She has been state F H A president. The two local girls were chosen as two of the 18 teen-age Utah girls to attend this (Continued on Page Two) CONVENTION (Continued from Pago One) convention. "Home for America's Future" is the theme of the convention which will be attended by 2,000 delegates representing a national nation-al membership of almost 370,000. Convention activities that the Cedar City girls will attend include: in-clude: setting up national projects, pro-jects, and a program of work for 1953-54, and election of officers. Among the convention highlights high-lights will be a pageant, "Our American Heritage" presented by the members. Convention activities, activi-ties, which begin tomorrow, July 3, will run through Monday, July 6 after which the Utah delegates dele-gates will journey on to Washington, Wash-ington, D. C. to spend a few days. |
