While the Rams led all the way, most of the time by what could be considered a good margin, yet a Delta rally, which really began in the waning wan-ing minutes of the third period and continued into the fourth, brought that team up to within three points of the victors early in the fourth period. At that point Coach Decker sent in Donald Gurr for Rodney Bent-ley, Bent-ley, who had played a beautiful game up to that time, and Gurr hit two field goals and two foul pitches, and later another field goal, which coupled with steals by Donald Stubbs and Connell Mitchell, did away with any idea ,the visitors might have had of overtaking the Rams. Eric Clark, jbig Ram center, tallied 17 points (for high point honors and also turned in a fine offensive game, as did Larry King, other regular in the game. Parowan went into the lead 5-0 in the early minutes and held a 12 to 5 first quarter edge. This lead was maintained during the second period which ended 26-19 for the Ranw. At that stage Merlin Christensen's team made its strongest bid, showing that a Delta team is ncvei licked until un-til the final gun, and were behind be-hind 38 to 33 as the third quarter closed. This Ram lead was cut to three points until the Ram rally which broke Ihe game wide open midway in the fourth quarter quar-ter from whprp tVio h rolled on to its 16 point win.
