The following resolution proposed by the Democratic City Committee will be voted on at that time and if carried will be the platform of the nomlo-ees nomlo-ees of the Democratic Party during the ensuing election. RESOLUTION WHEREAS the Cedar City Democratic organization and its candidates candi-dates for the municipal election to be held in Cedar City in 1947 feel that better municipal government will result from non-partisan municipal elections and the election of non-partisan candidates on the basis of ability rather than political affiliation, and whereas the ordinances of Cedar City, Utah now prevent the running of non-partisan tickets or the effective nomination of non-partisan candidates, Now Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the Democratic Cedar City Organization and the undersigned candidates for the municipal election for the year 1947 that the City ordinances be amended to provide for non-partisan elections of municipal officers or so as to allow a non-partisan organization to nominate nom-inate candidates and that the undersigned, if elected, pledge themselves to provide for non-partisan elections and tickets for all future elections; in Cedar City, Utah.
