C.s Successful In Getting 1952 Convention The Cedar City Junior Chamber of Commerce delegation to the State convention in Salt Lakei City last week end was succ"-1 ful in Its bid to bring the 1952 state convention to Cedar City. The convention will be held here on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, May 2, 3 and 4, J.952. The Cedar City group also broke Into the award winning circle this year, after a three-year three-year lapse. The group won first place in the membership and personnel contests, second in the Americanism contest, and second in the civic improvement contest. Those who attended the state convention from the Cedar City organization included, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Myles Morris, Mr. and Mrs. Burns Sherratt, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Riddle, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tucker, Tuck-er, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ash-worth, Ash-worth, Mr. and Mrs. George Burch, Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Penney, Pen-ney, Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Peterson, Pet-erson, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Cripps, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Hall, Mr.- and Mrs. Sheldon Olds, Mr. and Mrs. Maylin Maxfield and Mr. and Mrs. Walt Larson. Max-field Max-field and Larson, although members' mem-bers' of the local club, are now residing In Salt Lake City. |
