Show Varied Program Presented Closing exercises of the Cedar Junior high school were held Wednesday evening, featuring a program summarizing the activities acti-vities of the school year. With a large crowd in attendance attend-ance the school presented the junior high band, girls' chorus and eighth grade boys' chorus, three musical groups that won top ratings in the regional music mu-sic festival last month. In addition addi-tion to the band and two choruses, chorus-es, numbers were given by a girls trio, a vocal solo by Yvonne Fife, a clarinet solo by Allen Seeg-miller, Seeg-miller, and a trumpet duet by Robert Frame and Craig Jones. Several students, appearing in short talk, outlined the work of the students throughout the year, and told of the accomplishments of the various groups, and girls of the Home Economics department depart-ment presented a fashion show. Following the program parents were invited to the junior high library to see exhibits of the students' handiwork, and to the gymnasium for refreshments and a dance. The dance was given by the eighth grade students in honor of the ninth grade students stu-dents who leave the school this year to enter high school. |
