Show NOTICE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the City Council of Cedar City, Utah of the intention of such City Council to make the following follow-ing described improvements, to-wit: to-wit: Constructing, building and lay-ing lay-ing first class cement sidewalks four inches thick and four feet wide for a distance of 24,968 feet and five feet wide for a distance of 2,821 feet, all complete, where paved sidewalks are not already constructed and existing, in the following streets: FOURTH EAST ST. West side between 1st South and a point 775.50 feet south of the center line of 1st South; east side between be-tween Center St. and a point 500 feet south of the center line of 1st South St. THIRD EAST ST. East side, be-tween be-tween Center St. and 1st South St.; both sides, between 1st South St. and 2nd South St. SECOND EAST ST. Both sides, between 1st South St and 2nd South St. FIRST East St.: Both sides, between be-tween 1st South St. and 2nd South St. MAIN STREET: East side be-tween be-tween 2nd South St. and the Cedar Ce-dar Crest Lodge; West side, be tween 2nd South St and the Silver Sil-ver Leaf Inn. FIRST WEST ST.: Both sides, between 1st South St. and 2nd South St. "X" STREET: Both sides be-tween be-tween 2nd South St. and 3rd South St. FOURTH WEST ST.: West side, between 1st South St and a point 320 feet south of the center line of 1st South St.; West side between 2nd South St. and a point 420 feet south of the center line of 2nd South St. FIFTH WEST ST.: "jth sides, between 1st South St and Thor-ley Thor-ley Ave.; east side between Thor-ley Thor-ley Ave, and 2nd South St SEVENTH WEST ST.: Both sides between 1st South St. and Thorley Ave. EIGHTH WEST ST.: Both sides between the south line of the Branch Agricultural College property prop-erty and Thorley Ave. NINTH WEST ST.: Both sides between the south line of the Branch Agricultural College prop, erty and 1st South St COLLEGE AVE.: North side, between Main St. and 4th East Street FIRST SOUTH ST.: North Side, between the west line of the Branch Agricultural College property prop-erty and 9th West St; south side between 1st East St and 3rd West St, SECOND SOUTH ST.: South side between Main St. and 3rd West ST.; North side between Main St and 4th West St. CENTER STREET: South side between 4th East St and 3rd West St. SECOND WEST ST.: West side between 2nd South St, and a point 420 feet south of the center cen-ter line of 2nd South St. Said improvement is in Sidewalk Side-walk District No. 1, all of said work to be done according to the plans and profiles on file in the office of the City Engineer, and to defray the abutters' portion of the cost and expenses thereof, estimated at $1.71 per front foot or linear foot for the sidewalks four feet wide and $2.10 per front foot or linear foot for sidewalks five feet wide, for a total of $48,619.38 by local assessment, to be paid in ten equal annual installments, in-stallments, upon abutting property prop-erty and lots and pieces of ground to be affected and benefited ben-efited by said improvement, abutting and fronting upon the above named streets, where cement ce-ment sidewalks do not now exist, and to the entire depth of the same ownership back therefrom not exceeding 330 feet and all situated within an area described and bounded as follows: Beginning at the center of the intersection of Center St and 5th East St. and running south to the center line of 2nd South St.; west to a point 330 feet east of the center of U. S. Highway No. 91; thence southwesterly parallel to the center line of U. S. Highway No. 91 to 4th South St.; west to a point 330 feet west of the center cen-ter line of U. S. Highway No. 91; northeasterly parallel to said highway to 3rd South St; West to the west side of 5th West St; north to Thorley Ave.; west to 10th West St.; north to the center line of Center St.; thence east to the point of beginning, AND INCLUDING, IN-CLUDING, with other property, Blocks 14 to 20 inclusive, Block 20H, Block 21, Block 21Vi and Blocks 22 to 27 Inclusive, Plat "B" Cedar City Town Survey. Also: Blocks 7, 8, 9, 10 11. 14. and 15 Thorley . Williams . Frctwell-Dalley Frctwell-Dalley Subdivision In Cedar City, Utah. Lots 2 to 13 inclusive, J. N. Smith, Subdivision, Cedar City, Utah. Blocks 1 and 2. Max N. Lunt Subdivision, Cedar City. Utah. There shall be an exemption for corner lots to be apportioned as defined and provided for in the ordinances of Cedar City, Utah. All protests and objections to the carrying out of such Intention Inten-tion must be presented in writing, writ-ing, stating therein lot and block, frontage in feet or description of property, to the City Recorder on or before the 15th day of June, 1949. The City Council at its first regular meeting thereafter, to-wit: to-wit: the 16th day o,f June, 1949, will consider such protests and objections to said improvements as shall be made.
