Show High Honors Bestowed on Local Group ! r I, " ' i' II' i i ii i i i , Scoutmg's highest rank, Eagle Badges, were presented to four young men of Cedar Ce-dar City Sunday evening. The four men receiving the awards are, left to right, Gail Duncan, assistant scoutmaster, troop 330; Floyd Tucker, scoutmaster, troop 330; LeVan Martineau, Explorer Post' L'332, and Alio Farnsworth, Explorer Post 2332. Presenting the badges are Dr. L. V. Broadbent, mayor, left and Tony Lambert, Lam-bert, chief of police. Explorers, Scouters Receive Eagle Badges - Scouting's Highest Rank Four Lagle badges, scouting's highest rank, were presented to two Explorers and two scouters Sunday evening at a Court of-honor of-honor held in the College ward in Cedar City. Receiving the high honor were LaVan Martineau, Elks Explorer post No. 2332; Arlo Farnsworth, Elks Explorer post, No. 2332; Floyd Tucker, scoutmaster, College Col-lege ward troop, 330, and Gail Duncan, assistant scoutmaster, College ward troop 330. The Eagle badges were presented pre-sented by Dr. L. V. Broadbent, mayor, and Tony Lambert, chief of police. Miniature Eagle badges were also presented to the parents par-ents and families of those who received the awards. Other advancement awards made during the impressive ceremony cer-emony included a Buckskin award to Max Whitney, a Star badge to Ronald W. Snow of troop 342, and a 10-year vet pin to Gordon Williams, Advancements to First Class, were presented to D. Smith, of troop 335; William Brown, Ben Tueller and Scott Chamberlain, troop 335; Roger Slack, Kieth Simkins, Doyle Taylor and El-roy El-roy Nelson, troop 342, and Gordon Gor-don Bauer, post 2340. Second Class advancements were presented to Donald Heap, Kieth Cooley and Paul Graff, of tioop 330; Edward Miller, Dan Dix and A. G. Parry, troop 333; James Middleton, troop 334; Sheldon Shel-don Kelsey, troop 335; Kelvin, D. Zohner and J. V. Davis, troop 338, Kanarra. The following scouts received merit badge awards: troop 330, Grenade Curran, Robert Munson, Allen Hunter, Clark Dennett, Frank Grover, Donald Heap, Kieth Cooley, Paul Graff. Jack Walters. Gail Duncan and Jerry Frame. Troop 334: Steven Coleman, Don Ashcroft and Roland Palmer. Troop 335: Ben Tueller, Kent Chamberlain.
