Show Softball Group Prepares for Summer League Preparations for the summer Softball program were started Tuesday night when officers of the Cedar City Softball Asso-ciation Asso-ciation met to discuss problems connected with the program. As soon as all teams are entered en-tered a schedule will be drawn up and play started according to York Nelson, president of the association. Everyone interested in entering a team will be given giv-en until June 1, to file his roster ros-ter and pay the entrance fee, Mr. Nelson states. A limit of fourteen pla.vers to the team has been set, and the fee to enter a team will be $10 to be paid in advance. No team will be admitted after the deadline dead-line because that would necessitate necessi-tate changing the schedule. As in the past no plaver w.ll be allowed to jump from one team io another without a two-week wait. When a plaver drops from one team, he must wait two full weeks before he can play for any other team in the league. In addition, no player can be allowed to participate in a game unless he has been signed by the team at least 24 hours earlier. ear-lier. This rule is made to prevent pre-vent teams from using star players play-ers from other areas i, spec.fic . games. It is expected that as many as 15 teams may be playing in the league this summer.
