Show Union Pacific Now Has Paid Tours To Utah Parb Offering a total of 94 all-expense escorted tours through the west during the coming summer. Union Pacific Railroad and Chicago Chi-cago & North Western Railway today jointly announced the re-establishment re-establishment of their traditional tradition-al Department of Tours. This will be the fourty-fourth year for the Department of Tours, which was discontinued during both World Wars. This summer's 94 tours are grouped in six series ranging in length from 9 to 16 days with the earliest tour beginning May 28 and the last September 4. Rates include taxes and are round-trip from Chicago for two persons in a lower berth. Of interest locally are tours to the Utah National Parks. Twelve 14-day tours, known as YZ tours, may be made at a cost of approximately $342. Included are three nights at Yellowstone and four nights at the Utah Parks, including one night at Zion National park, two nights at Grand Canyon National park, and visits to Cedar Breaks National Na-tional monument, Salt Lake City, Denver and the Denver mountain parks. Costing approximately $292.00 and lasting 12 days, 13 Z tours are scheduled. Itinerary includes two nights at Zlon National Park, two nights at Grand Canyon National Na-tional Park, two nights at Bryce Canyon National Park, Klabab Forest, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Salt Lake City, Denver Den-ver and Denver Mountain Parks. I. D. Kessler, department manager, man-ager, pointed out that each tour will be escorted by an experienc-i experienc-i ed railroad representative. He also al-so emphasized that a tour travel-: travel-: er knows beforehand the total ' cost of his vacation and is as-, as-, sured hotel accommodations, , whereas the individual traveler is not assured of his expenses and may be plagued by lodging worries. |
