Show Art Guild Members to Visit SLC Exhibit , The Cedar City Fine Arts Guild was given unusual recognition for its effort toward art appreciation appre-ciation when guild members received re-ceived an Invitation this week to act as hostesses and guides at the Britannlca Art Exhibit at the Utah State Capitol. The State Art Committee, sponsors spon-sors of the nationally famous exhibit, invited the Cedar City group to preside at the exhibit on Friday and Saturday of this week. Nine members of the club Including Mary L. Bastow, president; pres-ident; Mrs. D. C. Dlx, Mrs. J. S. Prestwlch, Mrs. II. Wayne Driggs, Mrs. D. C Schmutz, Mrs. Wll-son Wll-son N. Lunt, Mrs. Melvin Cowley, and Mrs. A. W. Stephenson, left today for the capital city to participate par-ticipate In the exhibit. The Fine Arts Guild members have taken a Dromlnent Dart in past art exhibits in Cedar City, having acted as guides, and participated par-ticipated in discussion of art and artists at art show meetings and in radio broadcasts. Several artists, ar-tists, whose work has been discussed dis-cussed by the club members at local exhibits, are represented in the Britannlca exhibit |
