Show Game Commission Orders Special Doe Deer Hunts A proclamation Issued Saturday by the State Board of Big Game Control, allows a special hunt for deer of both sexes in the foothills of Parowan and Paragonah, and in addition provided for the issuing of permits for the killing of 32,000 doe deer throughout the state. Because of the over-stocked condition con-dition of the Parowan foothill prea. 1,050 permits for deer of either sex will be Issued for a special hunt during the period from November 15 to 29th. inclusive. Hunting will be permitted on the west drainages only. The area Is divided into three parts as follows: 350 permits for the area between Summit and Parowan canyons (including (in-cluding all of the Summit and only the south half of the Parowan canyon can-yon drainage and all between.) 350 permits for the area between Parowan canyon and Little Creek Canyons (including the north half of the Parowan Canyon drainage and only the south hulf of the Little Creek drainage and all areas between.) 350 permits for the area between Littlo Creek and the Buckskin Valley Val-ley road, including only the north half of the Little Creek d'ainage and all areas between. 3,000 permits for antlerless deer on the Dixie game preserve, described de-scribed as follows: All of the Dixie Unit of the Dixie National Fores', excepting the area lying west of the old Gold Strike-Enterprise road, and that portion of the area draining drain-ing east and lying between Asn and Mill Creeks on the south and the Page ranch-Cedar City road on the north. The regular deer season will be for the period from October 17 to 27, inclusive. Tills season will prevail pre-vail on all areas of the state for the taking of buck deer and all areas as described for the taking of antlerless ant-lerless deer, except in special areas as follows: The Parowan, Salt Lake and Tim-panogas Tim-panogas areas, November 15th to 29th. The Dixie, Ephraim-Spring City, and Twelve mile districts, October 17 to Nov 1st. All units described under the Flshlake District and the La Sal District, October 17 to November 8. A total of 20.000 antlerless deer are to be taken from the Fishlaks District, divided among the various units, as follows: Oak City, 1,000; Fillmore, 3,000; Kanosh, 4,000; Clear Creek-Pine Creek, 1,400; Beaver, 3.500; Salina, 4.100; and ' Monroe, 3,000. Antlerless deer hunting permits will be Issued only to hunters who have obtained a regular Utah big game hunting license. The fees will be $1.50 each for Utah residents and $2.00 each for non-resident hunters. Applications and fees for special deer permits for all areas will be received by all license agents In all parts of the state, and will then be forwarded to the Fish and Game Commission offices, at Salt Lake City and the permits mailed direct to applicant. All fees for permits must accompftny each application. The applicant will be required to produce his regular Utah big game hunting license before an application applica-tion for a special permit can be accepted. Applications for permits on all other districts will be received from September 20 to 30, Inclusive, or until all permits are sold. In the event more applications are received re-ceived than the number authorized for each district, applications will not be acceptable after 5:00 p. m., September 30, and a public drawing draw-ing will be held at 9:00 a. m. October Oct-ober 3, at the Fish and Game Commission Com-mission offices.
