This bit of Information was forthcoming forth-coming today from the Utah fish and game department which pointed point-ed out that a section of Washington Washing-ton county is still open under the terms of the 1940 quail proclamation. proclama-tion. The proclamation reads: "Provided further that the area west of the west rim of Santa Clara Creek and the west rim of Moody Wash; south of Dixie national forest for-est boundary and north and west of highway No. 91 shall be ocn for the hunting of quail from Nov. 2. to Dec. 31. 1946. inclusive." According to game department experts, this area abounds with tin fast-flylng. elusive birds which afford af-ford great sport for the gunner fast enough to bring them down. And for those who plan a trip down for a few last shots before the year closes, here is a further bit of information: Quail may be hunted from 7 n. m. until 5:30 p. m.; the bag limit is 10 birds and the possession limit is 20 |
