New Navy Recruiter I Stationed At Cedar Thomas Goonan, Chief Motor Machinist, U. S. Navy, a former resident of New York, has been placed in charge of the Navy Recruiting Re-cruiting Station In Cedar City. He replaces George Nelson, Chief Recruiting Re-cruiting Specialist, who will be discharged dis-charged from duty on December 12. Mr. Goonan, who has been in the Navy for ten years, is a veteran vet-eran of six years service In the Pacific theater of operations as a member of a sub-marine crew. He was transferred to a Pacific base in 1939, and remained in that area throughout the war against Japan, returning to the states only recently. re-cently.
