Show SECOND INTRAMURAL LAP CLOSES AT HIGH SCHOOL By Jerry Shenatt) With the second lap of the high school intramurals closing, the Gutter Gut-ter Snipes and Speech Renegades are still on top. However, Coach 3yrue Fernelius will soon pick the high school basketball team and :hls will eliminate a number from the intramural contest. The Underdogs opened the basketball bas-ketball series with a 33 to 9 vie-, tory over the Desert Rats. The Holts Hawks followed this with' a hard earned victory over the Church Bums. The score was 22 to 18. The Gutter Sullies helped to retain ihelr I intramural lead with a decisive 30 to 10 win over the Fighting Wolves. The Speech Renegades helped their score with a 27 to 20 win over the Church Bums. The Underdogs ended end-ed the lap as they had started It, with a big margin over the Fighting Fight-ing Wolves, 38 to 7. The Intramural basketball games will cmtlnue until January 4th, wlih games to be played each Monday. Mon-day. Wednesday and Friday, except when holidays fall on those days. Following this the championship playoff will be staged, a highlight of the Intramural program. |
