There are dozens of weedy streets to be cleared, dilapidated dilapi-dated or broken fences that should be repaired, painting that would brfghtcn up nnd Improve many dingy spots, outhouses that require attention, and a thousand and one other things to be done that will tend to increase the percentage of tho various towns. Wo will venture to say that there is not a single homo in Iron county that cannot bo improved by a little labor and materials thoughtfully applied. ap-plied. Every man, woman and child In the community should take an interest in-terest in making their town score as high as possible, and no one should bo so careless and unpatriotic as to pormit their own private premises to reduce the general average. Each property owner should feel himself responsible for the condition of tho street and side walk abutting his premises, and should vie with his .neighbors o hnvo his section the cleanest and tidest of any on the strcat. Get tho garbage wagon busy, and havo every bit of litter and rubbish rub-bish removed before the inspection begins. There is no more time for procrastination. procras-tination. What is to bo done must bo done quickly. It is a time for everybody ev-erybody to get busy and do their share of tho good Svork. At any rate, let's make sure that the towns of Iron county will score higher than the average for Utah towns. We cannot afford to bo classed among the "tail-end "tail-end towns." |
