Adams, Att'y, E. 11. Ryan, Sheriff H Alfred Froyd, Road Supervisor, D. M Claude Urie. U Minutes of the previous session M were rend and approved and the fol- H lowing business transacted: H The matter of the County Farm M was taken up, the report of the ap- U praisers was heard, which fixed the M value of the improvements at $112.00 M and the clerk was ordered to draw up M a deed for same. H The matter of the right of way thru M John Iang's farm at Buckhoni was M taken up by the board and the matter M passed for the time. U The bond issue for road purposes M on account of lack of definite inform- M at ion was left for some future date. M The clerk was intsructed to inform H Kecler Bros, of Denver that the bond M issue would be postponed indefinitely U The mntter o fthe county fair was M taken under advisement by thi board M and a committee of representative cit- U i.ens appiontcd to carry on the work. U The members of this committee are M as follows: M Wm. Pritchard, Mrs. R. E. Dalton, H Mrs. Jos. R. Bentley of Purowan, M Mr. J. S. Woodbury, Mr. Thos. Dix, H and Mrs. E. C. Watson of Cedar City; M Mr. D. A. Lamorcaux, Miss l.eona M Jones of Paragonah; Mr. Herbert M White of Summit; Mr. II J. Doolittle H of Lund; Mr. "Wallace Williams of M Kanarra; Mr. J. W. Moore of Prout; H Mr. 11. E. Harrison of Newcastle; M said committee are to act for the en- M suing two years. M Alonzo Christensen was appointed ""B health officer and register of Vital H Statistice of the Newcastle Precinct, M to fill the vacancy cnused by the res- M nation of Maria Piatt. B The County Road Supervisor gave M a report of the road work in the coun- H ty. Upon application and the request of S. J. Ward an appropriation of M $50.00 was allowed for the Littlu H Creek Canyon road. M Other road work in the county was M discussed at length, and a motion was U passed to get in touch with Washing- H ton County relative to road work that H might interest both counties. Jt A communication from the Mid- valley Farm and Irrigation Co. was M presented and discussed, Supervisor H D. (Maude Urie was authorized to o M operate with this company in getting U certain roads of that district in re- M pair ai soon as posible. H The Clerk was instructed to notify M David Thorley to keep the water from M Hooding the county road which M leads from Modena to Knterprise. M The repairing of the road west of M Modena was referred to Commissioner M The sheriff's report of the in- M paction of brands and hides for the county was read and approved. Jt County Agent Fsplin, upon his mo- H tion, was given an appropriation of M $175.00 for strychnine for the purpose H Of destroying rodents in the county. WKm The Dixie Power company was fiH granted a franchise in and through flH Iron county. H The matter of drawue, up a county H ordinance regulating the quarantine to prevent spread of contagious dis- 22H was referred to Attorney Ryan M The Clerk was instructed to write BB Hr .1 VY Bergstrom notifying him of HB his appointment as county health phy- Milan, and that he will be required to M take the oath of office and give a jH bond for the same. M Attorney Kyan was authorised to H purchase a new table and hairs fur H the court room. H It was decided to abandon as a M county '(tad the section of road near M the Pace ranch aim cut to Harmony.
