Building operations remain active. in Cedar City, and Architect Jones, ( Contractors Geo. A. Wood, E. Burton : and others interested in this line of endeavor are kept busy. The plans are Hearing completion for a neat five room cottage, with a ; four room basement and bath, etc , for' lames Bryant. Plans are also drawn for a neat ' Colonial style home for Mr. Herbert i I lau'lit It is intended to finish the first floor only at this time, but the upper floor will be erected and finished at the convenience of the owner. The contract has been let to Geo. A. Wood on PesHop H. H. Lunt's new home, which will comprise six rooms, bath, gnragc and basement. It is to be erected in the western part of the city. The plans are out for n five-room modern home with full basement for Mr. U. T. Jones. The contract has also been let for a substantial addition to the home of Mr. Samuel F. Leigh. Workmen are busy on the upper floor of the Cedar Sheep Association block, on the north side, constructing an elaborate suite of rooms for the headquarters of the Forest Service in this part of the state, a contract covering cov-ering the rent having been signed up. Adjoining this suite, and affording an ample provision for north day light, which is very desirable in drafting, a suite is also being arranged for Architect Ar-chitect Randall I.. Jones. These with the expenditure of about $125,000 for new school buildings at1 Cedar City, Parowan and Paragonah forms the nucleus for an extensive ' building program, which will be added to from time time as the season ad- MHMi |
