Show BERYL. Beryl, Iron Co., Utah, Mar. 30, 1916. The Beryl hotel is full to overflowing overflow-ing all this week with men from Southern California, who are looking up homesteads. They are more than delighted with this beautiful valley. Mr. and Mrs. Codwalloder arrived last week and arc building two houses on their claim about seven miles out of Beryl. Mr. Codwalloder has" his automobile with him, which makes five or six now in our neighborhood. Watch us speed I Mr. Flynn and Mr. Benton of Brig-ham, Brig-ham, brother and brother-in-law, respectively, re-spectively, of Doctor Flynn, railroad physician at Bingham, are building homes on their entries close to Beryl. We are glad to welcome all these new comers, and we hope it will not be long before this Escalante Valley will "blossom as the rose." Six cars unloaded at Yale, fivo miles from Beryl last week. We invite you all to come over and see our progress. A hearty welcome awaits you all. (Tho Record moves that the Cedar City Commercial club accept the above very generous invitation and make up an automobile expedition of several car loads, the more the merrier, and pay our western neighbors a visit one of these fine days. It will be a good way of getting better acquainted with tho new comers to our valley.) |
