Show LUND. j Lund, Utah, March 29, 1916. iFred and Oliver Burkholder have 1, been on the sick list for the past few days. ' , Jim Wood of Paragonah was in Lund this week with fresh beef and pork. Mr. Roy Stones of Paragonah came out on the auto Tuesday to play -the violin for tho dance. ' Mr. Cassidy Root is improving, but slowly. He is able to be up a little. We miss him at the depot Georgo Koert went to Parowan on business Wednesday. There must be some attraction for him over there. Miss Kathleen Halght of Cedar City came out to work for Mrs. Barton last Tuesday. She is glad to get back to Lund. a tfc T -r The weather the past day or two wjj' makes one feel like winter has come WTagaln. Misses Frona and Olive Mortensen of .Parowan, who have been working at thSHotcl Carter, returned home Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Miss Maud Jones and Miss ' . w. Luella Hyatt have takon their places. P Twelvo northern shearers passed through Lund tho othor day en route to tho Goulds shearing corral near Hurricane, where they havo been employed em-ployed to Bhear for about six weeks. Mr. Barton's mother of Cedar came out to see the new grandson, and thinks ho is tho finest in the land. Mrs. Carter's birthday was celebrated cele-brated on tho 28th Inst, by a dancing party given at tho home of Mr. and Mrs. Joberts. Most of tho people of Lund -were in attendance, and two auto loads came out from Cedar City for tho occasion. Among othor visitors vis-itors were noticed Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Arthur, Vilet and Lcono Rosenberg, Kathleen and Sarah Halght, and others. oth-ers. Sam Bell drove one of tho cars. There wero also a number of people from the dry farms, and all reported having had a fine time. A delightful luncheon was served. We wish to thank Mr. and Mrs. Jobert for the good time they showed the people of Lund, and trust that the compliment may return to them often in the future. fu-ture. And we hope that Mrs. Carter may enjoy many such birthdays. |
