Concerning Senator Smoot, the visitor vis-itor said that Senator Smoot is the greatest asset that the American people peo-ple have today. That he was worth at least $500,000,000 annually to the people of the United States and that it would be a national calamity not to return him to the Senate. No oher man in the Senate la as well posted on national and international questions, and no other man is working as hard and persistently. Miss Hay, of the National Suffrage organization stated that Mr. Smoot had done more for the suffrage cause than any other man in the United States.
