Mr. Millard Haltermau has purchased pur-chased the property of J. W. Mcndci-hnll Mcndci-hnll at Midvalley and will move there in the near future. We ronsider this rather a fortunate purchase and Mr. and Mrs. Halterman go to their new home with our best wishes for svic-, svic-, cess. Ill Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Rogerson and family left this morning for Heaver to attend the farewell party to be given there this evening for Lawr- i ence and Randolph Crimshaw, who I have received their call to the colors. ! Randolph is going to the U. of U. nnd I Lawrence probably to Camp Lewi-i. Mis l.iia (Hbeofl and Mr. John Gurr i of I'arowan were married August t! nt the home of. the groom's purents. Mr. Gurr was here only 24 hours, being compelled to return to Camp Fremont where he was stationed, word being reeeived thot he was to be moved soon. We extend our congratulations ( to the couple and wish them success in this venture. Mr. and Mrs S. F. Jones are in receipt of a letter from their son Henry advising them that he is now I stationed with his company somewhere some-where in Prance prepared for active ! service, is well and anxious to get the Kaiser done for. We all feel an in- 1 terest in our boys, but all we can do is our duty here anil wish them suc- i cess. Harry is the only one of our boys in France so far. a a a The Mutuals are preparing to give a program in Cedar City Sunday night. On account of so many being away it is hardly thought pradtir-, pradtir-, able for the whole choir to participate partici-pate as was at first anticipated. A few numbers will be given, however, and Mr. Lorenzo Matheson will talk on The Part the Mormon Churrh is Taking in the World War. |
