Show munis ' FITTINGLYJNTERTAINED Successful West Warders Partake Par-take of Hospitality of Their EastWard Neighbors As advertised in The Record of last week, tho champion West Ward rabbit hunters were regailed with a banquet and dance at the expense of their East Ward neighbors of the splatter-gun profession last Tuesday. The banquet was a sumptuous one and was served by the East Ward Relief Society ladies in the basement of the Cedars Hotel, over 70 persons being served. During the time at tables, a number of good toasts and poems were given, and heartily applauded. The banquet over all the company repaired to the Ward Hall, whore a grand ball was participated in, the music being furnished by the Enoch orchestra. Everybody seemed bent on having a good time, and the best of feeling prevailed, The company being a mixed one, quito a number of old style dances were called on, including an abundance of plain quadrilles, so that everyone had an opportunity oppor-tunity of dancing as much as they wished. At the dance, E. B. Dalley, on behalf of the East side, issued is-sued a challenge to the West side for a return game on Feb. 12th. which was accepted on the spot by tho East sjdo leaders, so that there.will, unless some thing -transpires to change the program, be another hunt on Lincoln's birthday. |
