Owing to indisposition, President Marsden was not able to visit the southern settlements of lhe stake,, but Clerk Ward went down to Kanarraville, where he met with the bishop of that place and the bishop of the Harmony ward and checked over accounts. Leonard has been seriously ill for a day or, two, and spent a very bad night last night, but is thought by the attending at-tending physician to bo improving improv-ing this morning. Dr. Green was summoned by telephone last Wednesday evening even-ing to Lund to attend a Mr. Holyoak, who was. reported as being very ill. The Doctor being be-ing unable to find an automobile willing to tacklo the roads in their present condition, was obliged to make tho trip by team. The litsic Society will meet in the Alumni room of 'tho B,-A. C. next Tuesday evening at 7:30. Miss Jean Brown will give a paper on "Tho Irish School of Writers," the paper will be dis-cussd dis-cussd by members of the society. soc-iety. Mrs. Ada Wood Webster will render a soprano solo, selected. selec-ted. James Robb, the genial agent of the Inter-Mountain Life Insurance In-surance company, has moved his family back to Cedar City, and will make this his headquarters. Mr. Robb states that he will Bhortly add a line of fire, plate glass, automobile, find other insurance in-surance to his stock of waers. Mr. Robb has made a pronounced success of his life insurance work, and will no doubt make a reputation for himself with his added line. Messrs H. G. Fredrickson & Sons, the contractors on the new Carnegie Library, have completed com-pleted their work and left for their homes last Tuesday. It is certainly a very pretty building, build-ing, and a real ornament to Main Street. The Fredricksbns have shown themselves to be thorough and capable workmen, and Cedar City is to bo congratulated congrat-ulated upon getting so fine a building. The appropriation received from the Carnegie commission com-mission was not sufficient to complete the building, the balance bal-ance being supplied by the city council. |
