Show ' ' THE people of Cedar City and Iron County are never laggards when it comes to patriotism and generosity towards any deserving charity. In the big nation-wide drive that is on this week for members of the Red Cross Society, the organizers have found a ready and willing response on the part of local people. The main difficult v they entertained en-tertained was in securing enough buttons and badges to designate members. And we still hear members complaining that they paid thir membership mem-bership fee but failed to obtain a badge. The very limited number of buttons supplied by the national nation-al organization were exhausted before the campaign cam-paign was fairly opened. Ascertaining that no additional and adequate supply was obtainable, the committee bought up every suitable bolt of ribbon in town, and had it printed for badges, the first edtion being exhausted and a second called for. If every town in Utah did as well as Cedar City, in proportion to population, we predict that Utah a ill be the banner state in the big Red Cross drive. |
