Figures compiled by the Journal of Commerce Com-merce show that goods in bond in New York alone on August 31 were valued at $67,301,000., and since that time the total jias increased in-creased largely. While it was said that in some cases decided changes would be made in wholesale prices, no estimates es-timates were obtainable as to the probable effect on retail prices. |
