Show J NADA Nada, May 11, ll)20. Thoro are contests and -rumors of contests in this vicinity of late. Robert Bonner went to Milford Monday to attend to shipping his wool. Nada school closet May 14, after a successful year's work with an enrollment enroll-ment of eight at present. Heavy showers fell Monday and Tuesday. Needless to say thoy were welcome as tho top of the ground was beginning to dry out. Word has been received here of tho mnrriago of our formor neighbor, Clinton Myers to Miss Mablo Western, West-ern, both of Milford. Congratulations Congratula-tions and best wishes extended. Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Moore, Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Bnrnes and Elizabeth Barnes motored to Mincrsvillc Sunday. Sun-day. Thoy brought with them a quantity quan-tity of wild trees and bushes to plant on their homesteads. II. M. Couch and sons, A. L. and Wallace took advantage of the rain , today when tho ground was too wet to work, and motored from Latimer, " via Nada to J. F. Dinwiddio's to have some blacksmith work done. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Lewis went to Milford last Thursday to help E. R. White movo his tractor. Thoy mot with a break-down flvo miles this side of Milford, so arc at present held up for repairs Nathan Barnes is now section foreman of Sec. 21 at Thermo. He has worked on the section thoro for over a year, and is undoubtedly a good man for tho place. Tho Jap, F. Saw-amura, Saw-amura, who has held tho position for many years, has been transferred to Cnlicnto, Nov. His wife, has recently gone to Japan for a visit, where ho expects to make n trip soon. Tho enso of the State of Utah vs. J. C. Hartor wa3 finally decided in the court nt Beaver last week by being thrown out of court. All the witnesses witness-es have returned to their work after losing valuablo timo. The case has cost tho state considerable, We are informed that the testimony of tho main prosecuting witness did not agree with the statements made before be-fore tho case came to trial; thus tho trial ended without even calling the defendant's witnesses to tho Btand. |
