The plans outlined in tho call are for a general congress session ses-sion afternoon and .evening of four days and nine sectional conventions, con-ventions, to be held in as many halls every morning of tho con gress. The main convention will be formally opened by Lieut. G. II. V. Bulyea of Alberta, as tho official representative of the crown, and the response to his gratings to all nations there represented will be by Hon. James Wilson, secretary of agri-1 culture of the United States and personal representative of President Presi-dent Taft. The Congress will be addressed by some 100 of the most learned men of the world, including a half dozen of the greatest agricultural agri-cultural educators, as many railroad rail-road magnates who arc devoting thoir lives to the building up of tiie great agiculturnr sections, instructors of agriculture in the leading colleges, experimentalists from the United States, Canada, Russia, Turkey, South, America, New South Wales, South Africa, Afri-ca, and other parts of the globe, and successful practical dry land farmers. Tho sectional convention, which will bo among the most interesting in-teresting from the educatiDnal viewpoint.will discuss these subjects: sub-jects: Soils, their diseases and treatment, treat-ment, the soils conservation of fertility and moisture, tillage method for all soil, climates and crop; special use of machinery and a comparison of machines and results. Home breeding of seeds, seed selections, crops and cropping, commercial profits, forage and fertilization. Establishment of windbreaks, protection for stock, beautifica-tion beautifica-tion of the farm home, fuel supply, sup-ply, etc. ; what has been accomplished accom-plished in agricultural forestry by governments for farmers themselves in many parts of the world, and methods of establishing establish-ing shade and fruit trees under subhumid conditions. Diversified farming, and every ev-ery phase of loss and gain in the production, breeding and maintenance main-tenance of livestock for power, transportation, market, food and dairy supplies.
