Show GRADUATES WITH HIGH HONORS At the commencement of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, June 27, Rufus Wood Leigh, received the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. Doctor Doc-tor Leigh is the third son of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Leigh of this city, and is well known not only in Cedar City but throughout through-out southern Utah. After graduating grad-uating at the Branch Normal in the class of 1904, Rufus completed complet-ed the Normal course at the Un-iveristy Un-iveristy of Utah in 1905; he then spent a year teaching in the Central Cen-tral School of Preston, Idaho; did another year of college work at the University of Utah, after which he entered the employ of The Telluride Power Company, Provo, Utah. While in the employ em-ploy of the Telluride Company, Rufus was awarded a scholarship) in an eastern college; he chose the University of Michigan and in 1909 took up the course of study to prepare himself for his chosen profession, dentistry. While at Michigan he has been a consistent and successful student, stu-dent, not only completing his professional course but doing considerable work in the Literary Liter-ary Department of that University. Univer-sity. During the summer of 1909 he was an assistant in the office of the Dean of his College. At the completion of his work, the faculty in recognition of his ability, tendered him a position as Demonstrator of clinical dentistry den-tistry in his Alma Mater. Throughout his residence Ann Arbor he was a prominent member mem-ber of the Rocky Mountain Club, an organization of Western men at Michigan.
