Show 0 KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS. Organized Lodge in Ogden Third Degree De-gree Conferred in Salt Lake. That useful Catholic social order, the Knights of Columbus, organized a strong lodge of about forty members in Ogden last Tuesday night which will bear the name of Cushnahan Council No. 777. Some fifty members of the Salt Lake City Council went up to aid in the institution and accept ac-cept the hospitality of their new brethren. Several prominent members mem-bers from Denver and eastern points were also present on this important occasion. The first and second degrees were conferred by the Salt Lake Council degree team. J. J. Harvey acted as G. K.; T. J. O'Brien, D. G. K.; R. A. Canning, Chancellor; Edward McGurrin, McGur-rin, Ing and H. A. Morrison, Warden. The third degree work was In charge of District Deputy S. K. Geo. J. Gibson and Col. Frank Towers of Denver. These gentlemen were assisted as-sisted in the work by W. Allen and Joseph Rafferty of Denver, James Walsh of Cleveland. O., J. V. Coghlan and J. Duffy of Salt Lake. After the institution the new Ogden council proceeded with the election of officers. Those elected are: Grand Knight W. L. Maginnis. Dy Grand Knight David HIckey. About twenty-five new members took the third degree in the 'Knights of Columbus last Wednesday evening at their lodge room in the Auerbach building. The degree work was In charge of District Deputy -S. K. Daniel Dan-iel B. Carey and Colonel Frank Towers Tow-ers of Colorado. These gentlemen were assisted in the work by Joseph Rafferty and Will Allen of Denver, Joseph Walsh of Cleveland, O., J. Vincent Vin-cent Coghlan of Salt Lake and some of the officers of the local council. The ceremonies were attended by about seventy-five members, Including about twenty-five from the recently organized Ogden council. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served and the meeting was addressed by a number of the members, Frank McGurrin being in the chair.
