Miss Margaret Walker and the Misses Edna and Margaret Dunn leave today for Miss'Bennett's school on the Hudson, after spending the holidays with their parents. Mrs. J. C. Dugan will leave Monday to join a party of friends at Pasadena, Cal., where she will spend the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Palmer and little lit-tle daughter, of Stockton, were spending spend-ing the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. A. Richter. Mrs. James Shaughnessv and daughter daugh-ter May, of Oil City. Ta.. are the guests of Mrs. Stenhen G. Murray. James J. Burke, the contractor "who installed the aerial tramway for the Tintic Mining & Development and Yampa companies in Bingham, stated that the system was turned over to the owners Monday, after having been thoroughly tried out. Mrs. J. J. Paul, who spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. A. Fred Wey, left the first of the- week for her home in Arizona. Mrs. M. Ryan and daughter, Mrs. R. R. Hoffman, left last Sunday for To-peka, To-peka, Kan., to visit friends and relatives rela-tives for a month or six weeks. A delightful party was given Tuesday evening by Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Kelly at their residence, 1024 First avenue. Supper was served late in the evening to about fifteen couples. Before supper sup-per the guests were entertained with a series of special games and other amusements. After supper a delightful dance continued until after midnight. Mrs. Dan Dillon assisted at serving. Jacob Shallenbarger of Steptoe, Nev., but better known as the oldest settler in Nevada, near to Ely in White Pine county, is a guest of the Cullen. |
