Show WEDDING BELLS. V St. Mary's cathedral was the scene of J j; ' a beautiful wedding Wednesday morn- I '. ing, when Miss Edythe J. Sears became , the bride of Mr. Alfred T. Egan. An - exquisite arrangement of white roses, ribbons and smilax graced the chance!, while on either side were banks oi stately palms. At 8 o'clock the bride and groom entered en-tered the church unattended, and in a few minutes the simple marriage service serv-ice was read by Rt. Rev. Bishop Scanlan. Scan-lan. Only the immediate families witnessed wit-nessed the ceremony. The bride w i.-i charming in a gown of white batiste, her flowers being white carnations. From the church the bridal party drov-to drov-to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Sears, the parents of the bride, wh-r-a dainty wedding breakfast was serv.- l. Mr. and Mrs. Egan are well known in social circles, the latter being one :' the charming belles of the younger s.-t. They departed on the evntng train for an extolled tour of Mexico and trv-south, trv-south, the date of their return heiri-indefinite. |
