Show ST. MARY'S ACADEMY. Concert Given by the Symphony Orchestra. Or-chestra. On the evening of the sixteenth, the boarders experienced a pleasing cFn-sation cFn-sation as they sct off in their usual orderly ranks to the Salt Lake theatre to attend the second performance of the Symphony orchestra of this cfty. The programme- bore the names cf classical clas-sical composers and from the first note to the last, the musiccians showed rare ability in the interpretation of their masters. The perfection with which every number was rendered indicated a rich combination of talent in the organization, or-ganization, no less than untiring pains in the work of preparation. Mrs. Lu-ella Lu-ella Ferrin Sharp fully deserves the numerous nu-merous compliments passed upon her performance at the close of the concert, con-cert, for her sweet and highly cultivated culti-vated vffice captivated her listeners, revealing as it did the soul of a true musician. Her selection, "More Regal in His Low Estate." an aria from Gounod's Gou-nod's "Queen of Sheba," is a difficult piece, but she sang it with ease and charm that the audience demanded her reappearance. The orchestra has another member of whose talent it may justly boast Mr. George E. Skelton. His skill as a violinist was clearly shown in "Andante and Finale," from Violin Concerto by Mendelssohn. The concert throughout was thoroughly thor-oughly enjoyed by the pupils, who returned re-turned full of the enthusiasm which such a treat must perforce inspire their wills newly resolved t- master th helrwpd art which lifts our souls nearest to heaven.
