Show Cockran Honored. The vacancy on the ways and means committee in the house of representatives caused hy the resignation res-ignation of Representative McClellan will be filled as soon as W. Bourke Cockran makes his. appearance appear-ance in the house and takes the oath of office. The vacancy has been held open for more' than two months because the. Xe.w York delegation and Represent Rep-resent at i at? Williams, the minority leader, who, according ac-cording to agreement with Speaker Cannon, makes all ihe Democratic assignments-, did not agree upon any one to fill the place. . .
