'Solemn' high masses v.err celebrated a i St. Patrick's churvb J.t 5 a. m. and 11 a. m.. and on each occasion oc-casion the spacious auditorium o: the edifice was crowded ' to overflowing. Many who came to the last ma.vs were scarcely able to ?ecure standing: vooni inside the doors during the services. At the 5 o'clock mass at St. Patrick's church the. pastor. Rev. Father De Sieie; was the. celebrant. He was assist -t-d by Re v. Fathers Barry and. Follet. Solemn vespers Tuesday evening were also very largely attended. There were nine, masses during dur-ing the forenoon, and large congregations congrega-tions were present at all. The high masses were at o and 11 o'clock. Rev. Father Gueymard. officiated at the fiis-1 high mass; and Rev. Father Hannan at the 11 o'clock- mass. The program1 of music for these-''. masses was quite elaborate and strikingly effective. "Chris-tianity." The discourse was highly edifying to the great congregation.
