Show I THE CHURCH'S TRIBUTE. Pontifical Mass For Repose of Soul of Father Morrissey. Solemn pontifical high mass was celebrated cel-ebrated last Monday morning for tho repose of the soul of Rev. Father Curran, Rev. Father Guinan, Rev. Father Schiocetti. Rev. . Father Eugester and Rev. Father Da-neaf. Da-neaf. The cathedral wa-i liHed with friends of the dead priest, who wished to pay their last tribute of respect to one who wag to well loved and respected. The Gregorian Requiem w;as well rendered j by the Cathedral choir. I Rt. Rev. Bishop delivered the memorial me-morial sermon, which was a beautiful tribute to the iife and character of Father Fa-ther Morrissey. Rt. Rev. Bishop spoki eloquently of the self-sacrificing work of the devoted young priest, who was ever ready to aid others both for spiritual spirit-ual and temporal nccdf. and who was j ever ready to respond to duty under j any conditions. There is genuine sorrow in the hearts 1 of all for Father Morrissey's untimely , death, and sincere sympathy, for the bereaved parents and other relatives. May his soul rest in peace: |
