Show OGDi;2.r CITY. ; Thanksgiving Entertainment at Sa-1 i cred Heart Academy. As. the great feasts of the nation i come and go each is commemorated by the students of Sacred Heart. Thanksgiving, 1904. was no exception, and the manner oC.its celebration was one befitting the great national festival. festi-val. On the eve the pupils presented a dainty musical and, literary programme ; of eight numbers. It included readings j grave and gay, ..in verse and :rose, I from the class paper. "The Star of the j West," by the. Misses O'Connell and! Frost. Music and fang lent their I usual charm. Warm appreciation was j accorded the violin du-t by Miss J. j Tarter and Miss N. Frost, and the selection se-lection rendered by several members ! of Sacred Heart club; but the most en- I thusiatilic applause was reserved for i the vocal solos by the Misses Downey, i O'Connell and Kilkenny. "The Rug-gles." Rug-gles." a humorous recitation, was very effectively rendered by Miss Donaghy, who responded to the encore by 'Unseen, 'Un-seen, Yet Seen." , At the close Rev. P. M.
