Show Tntermotuitain news. BUTTE, MONT. Miss Ella O'Connell and Michael O'Neil were united in marriage Monday afternoon of last week in Sacred Heart church. Rev. Father Callahan, performed per-formed the marriage ceremony in the presence of a large number of friends. MiF( Kittie Lynch was bridesmaid and Charles O'Neil acted as best man to the bridegroom. ' ' '. The young people have a large circle of friends in the city-and will reside here. After Dec. 1 Mr. and Mrs. O'Neil will be at home in 803 Colorado street. Miss Sarah Cleary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Cleary, was married Nov. 24. in the priest's house of Sacred Heart church. Rev. Father Callahan officiated at the ceremony. Mies Julia-Cleary Julia-Cleary was bridesmaid and John Cleary acted as best man. A bridal supper was served at the home of the bride's parents, 62S Dakota street. Only relatives rela-tives and a few .friends were present at the wedding. T- Mr. and Mrs. McTueker will reside at 509 South Main street an,d will be at home to their friends after Dec. 1. f Reverend Father Yanehon, a visiting priest from British Columbia, preached at Sacred Heart church Sunday. The father is engaged in Indian missionary work in the northwest, i 1 Miss Anna O'Brien of Divide spent the Thanksgiving holidays with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Charles O'Brien of Centerville. Miss Nellie Sullivan spent the holidays holi-days in Anaconda. Miss Maude MacGuire of Twin Bridges was a guest at the Finlen last week. The annual memorial exercises and reunion in honor of Allen, Larkin and O'Brien, the Manchester martyr, were held last week at Hibernia hall, in Centerville, by the local divisions of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the ladies' auxiliary to the order. The members of the Robert Emmet Literary Liter-ary society were also present and took part in the exercises. ' James H. The hall was crowded and over 300 sat down to the long lines -of tables that presented a beautiful appearance. To the ladies of the auxiliary" is due great praise for the tasteful decorations and the delicious delici-ous spread. The occasion was most auspicious and one long to-be remembered remem-bered with pleasure by the great number num-ber of Irishmen and their families present. 4 Dr. and Mrs. Chris Turner entertained at Thanksgiving dinner at their home in Wet Broadway. The guests were Dr. and Mrs.' Bernard J. Keenan, Miss Mary Carroll and Dr. Monahan. HELENA,-MONT. A quiet wedding occurred Thursday morning, Xov. 24. at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, the contracting couple being Miss Agnes Murphy. ; daughter of Michael Murphy of this i citj-y and 'Louis Dorsey of Anaconda. ! The ceremony occurred at S o'clock, 1 Rev. Father Foley officiating. A wedding wed-ding breakfast followed the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey will reside in Anaconda. Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Shannon left las?: week for San Francisco. - Miss Elizabeth Hogan has returned from a visit with relatives at Berthold, N. Clark of this city. The ceremony, which was performed by Rev. Father Victor Day, occurred at 6:30. The bride wore her traveling gown of tan cloth and w'as attended by Miss Leonora Klei. while J. M. Moriarty acted as best man. Mr. and Mr?. Clark left later in the day for Missoula, and on their return will reside in Helena. f Last Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. James A. Walsh gave a progressive euchre party to a few of their friends. The occasion was the fifteenth anniversary anni-versary of their wedding, and all the prizes were of crystal. Six tables were played. The lucky winners of ftrfi prizes were Mrs. Stuewe. Mrs. McCarthy McCar-thy and Mrs. Meagher, for : the ladies, the gentlemen winning first prizes being be-ing Mr. Meagher and Mr. Nye. Consolation Con-solation prizes were given to Mrs. Wilson Wil-son and IMiss Berube, Messrs'. Stewart and Derham. At the close of the game refreshments were served. f Captain and Mrs. Jenks shared, their bird with Lieutenant and Mis. Fravel. Lieutenant and Mrs. McDonald and Lieutenant Crockett. Lieutenant and Mrs. Sweeney, . Mrs. Sweeney, sr.. Judge McConnell and Dr. and Mrs. Sievers ate turkey with Captain Cap-tain and Mrs. Gose. f At the hospitable quarters of the commanding officer, among those who were the guests of Coloiiel Buchanan and his niece. Miss Dugan. and partook par-took of 'the Thanksgiving cheer, were Major 'Maginnis and Mr. Harlow. ANACONDA, MONT. j Jhe funeral of the late T. Y. Murphy, formerly one of the best known resi- I dents of this city, was held Friday morning of last week from th faniily residence at 1006 East Third street. High mass was celebrated at St. Peter's church and burial was at ' Mt. Carmel cemetery. Mr. Murphy was at one time superintendent superin-tendent of the old works and when they were closed he removed to Utah, where he was engaged in smelter work. He died at Murray, Utah, and the remains? were brought to Anaconda for interment. inter-ment. The deceased leaves a family here. The funeral of the late Michael Bren-nan Bren-nan took place Thursday . morning of last week from the family residence, GOT Cherry -street. With all the honor due the memory of a highly respected citizen many Anaconda residents took part in the funeral cortege. High mas was held at St. Paul's church at 10 o'clock and following the services at the church the march to the cemetery ceme-tery was continued. Interment was in Mount Carmel cemetery. Mr. Brennan's demise is mourned by a widow, four sons and five daughters, and hundreds of Anaconda citizens who were acquainted with him. He "died at St. Ann's" hospital a few days ago, pneumonia being the cause of'his death. . LIVINGSTON, MONT. Mrs. P. J. Nolan died in Spokane, .Nov. 16, after an illness "extending over several months. .Mr. and Mrs. Nolan went to Spokane about a month ago in the hope that the change would be beneficial to the latter's health, but these hopes 8 re not realized. The remains re-mains were brought here Thursday night and were met at the depot by a large ' concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives. On Saturday they were shipped to Emmetsburg, la.. togther with the remains "of a child of the family interred in the Catholic cemetery ceme-tery east of this-city. Mrs. Nolan was about 53 years of age and. was married to Mr. Nolan in Emmetsburg, la., about twenty years ago, and .they moved to Livingston in 1890.
