Show LEADVILLE. (Correspondence Intermountain Catholic.; Leadville. Colo., May 2. Leadville lodge No. 40. A. O. IT. W., gave one of their renowned socials on last Wednesday Wed-nesday evening to the members and their wives of the A. O. U. W in Leadville. Lead-ville. Several of our Catholic young ladies took part and helped very materially ma-terially in making it a success. iH-r Mr. John Keegan, who recently sold Ihe Gordon mine, at Twin Lakes, to D. E. Murphy of Milwaukee, has been visiting Leadville friends for' the past week. Mr. Thomasi Hurley, the new manager man-ager for D. E. Murphy's recent purchase, pur-chase, the Gordon mine, arrived in 'the city from the Black Hills during the week. Mr. Hurley has been the right-hand right-hand man of D. E. Murphy for many years. On Sunday, May 6. a. ladies' auxiliary to the Knights of St. John was organized organ-ized by Deputy James M. Murphy. Mr. J. C. Bradley, the enterprising state agent for The Intermountain and Colorado Catholic, left for Cripple Creek during the week. During Mr. Bradley's stay in Leadville he made many friends and nearly doubled the circulation of The Intermountain and Colorado Catholic. No Catholic family In Leadville should be without it. Mrs. Hermldas Nadon and, children are at Glenwood for the summer. Mrs. Thomas Giiroy leaves during the. week for 'Glenwood. The Catholic Parsonage of the Annunciation An-nunciation parish is undergoing some repairs. The many Leadville friends of Hugh McCaughey will be pleased to learn that he has nearly recovered from his long spell of sickness, and has at the present a very good situation in Butte. MURPHY. |
