Show Diocese o! Boise POCATELLO. The past week has been an extra busy one at St. Joseph's school, the semi-annual examinations in all the classes having taken place. On the whole the result of these examinations, which were written, proved satisfactory satisfac-tory to both teachers and pupils. The following are the names of those pupils whose average in all their studies, stud-ies, including instrumental and vocal music, reached 90 per cent or above: Miss Q. Miller, 90 1-2; Master C. Kroll. 90: Master W. McLachlan. 93: Miss A. McGuinn, 97: Miss M. O'Brien, 96; Miss M. Higson, 95; Miss F. Moore, 96; Miss D. Vaughn. 94: Miss S. Scarry, 93: Master Mas-ter F. O'Keefe, 91; J. Kane, 96: Miss E. Dufresne, 93: Miss Maud Mullen. 92: Miss A. Brew. 92: Miss F. Purtill. 92; Miss J. McLachlan, 90; Miss C. Worrel. 94. The work of the second session, beginning be-ginning Feb. 3. has been well begun. MONTPELIER. Father Hendricks' sermons to non-Catholics non-Catholics is arousing considerable interest in-terest in this part of the state. Last Sunday he addressed a meeting of German Ger-man Mormons, in response to thirty-seven thirty-seven questions placed in the "question box." The replies of Father Hendricks made a deep impression. ' Father Hendricks may 'deliver some lectures on astronomical subjects before be-fore the faculty and students of All Hallows, Salt Lake. |
