Mr. and Mrs. Michael Sullivan of 236 East Quartz street buried their little daughter, Effie May, aged o months, on Dec. 20. Funeral from family residence. resi-dence. Mr. Dennis Shea of 510 West Galena f street, died on Friday, Dec 15, of pneu- monia, at" 7 p. m. Funeral at 2 p. m. j Monday, 18th, from Duggan's under- f taking parlors. Requiem services at f f't. York. j' Mr. John Taylor, an old-timer and a f native of County Kerry'. Ireland, died j Tuesday evening, Dec. 12, at St. James' f Ihoppital of pneumonia. The burial took , j p!aec on Friday, 15th, at 10 a., m., from"' Duncan's mortuary parlors. Requiem High Mass was celebrated at St. Pat- I rick's. Deceased was ill scarcely three ,' days. A constitution enfeebled by age and exposure was 'an easy mark for the dread pneumonia. Mr. Taylor was a f mining piospcctor, and is widely known I throughout the intermountain region, j Mrs. John Hannifin of Eureka, Utah, I and Mrs. D. Hannifin of the Rutte Optical company and a nephew of the dead man, did all he could to case his uncle's last hours, and. also took charge of ail matters regarding-the regarding-the interment. Mrs. Mary Ducie, mother of Mr. John Ducie of Butte, died Dec 17, at Doyles-town, Doyles-town, O. Deceased was 83 years tot age and a native of County Mayo, Ireland. She leaves a son and three daughters, Mr. John Ducie of Butte, Mrs.. John Shoenbirger of Meadow Creek, Mont., Mrs. George Cunimoek of Anaconda, and Mra Charles Chad wick of San Francisco. Mr. and .Mrs. Ducie and Jittle daughter of Butte ihad arranged to go east, via the Oregon Short Line, on Monday l.'ist, to spend the Christmas holidays witlt Mr Ducie's moiher, whom fine had not seen for eighteen years. Early Monday the sad message -ca.rr.e, and Mr. and Mrs. Ducie at once departed over the Northern Pacific for Doylestown. 'Tis a severe trial to Mr. Ducie to have the anticipated Christmas meeting with his mother, after an absence ab-sence of eighteen; years, thus cut away ,' " - by her sudden death.
