Doolittle Doolit-tle has lived in Salt Lake for twenty years, and all that time hit's been officially of-ficially connected with the' railroad business, which brought him in contact con-tact with most, of the. business' men of the state. He first served as cashier in the local freight office of the R. (5. W. Ry., 'and during his 'occupancy of ! that important position he won for j himself the esteem and good will of all who had any business to transact with him because of his polite and dignified bearing. Thoroughly, versed in all the detnils of freight anil other railroad business, in his present exalted position posi-tion his experience and efficiency will be beneficial not only to the company, but to all who mar have business to transact with the company. Mr. DooMtt'e was born 'n Ireland, educated in Dublin, graduating from the University College of Blackrock. He spent some time in .England, where he studied-mining engineering. From Encland he went to . South Africa, where, as a young man. he forced his way to the Transvaal -in search of gold. . - - After the Kaffir war Mr. Doolittle returned to Ireland, where he made a short visit with re'atives, and then came to the United States. His" wife and three grown-up boys make up his home, which is one of the happiest in this city. His many friends have freely free-ly expressed their pleasure a,t his promotion pro-motion and extend congratulations. |
