Show Has No Excuse. No Catholic in thee clays has a.iy t-x-I cue for not knowing his religion, and ?;e has also no excuse for not keeping ;i toufh with all matters concerning the Catholic church throughout the world. Unfortunately we have only too many Catholics whose idea of keeping their faith alive is to attend mass for cne-half hcur on Sunday and ' whose krowledge of what 'affects the ehurnh during the week is gleaned from the secular press. This is made very evident evi-dent in thin French matter Tc.o many Catholics have the idea that the Holy Father is wrong, or. at least imprudent, impru-dent, led on by his secretary, and that tiic French government is right and lY.eans only a separation of the church r nd state. Surely every Catholic worthy of the name should take at bast one Catholic paper, and so learn the truth regarding th cnurch. In the support of the Catholic: tress one keeps in touch with the fhurch. feeling her joys and sorrows as his own. and incidentally is helping th? good cause in an humbl? way. Pittsburg Catholic. |
