Show NAMPA, IDA. I ! : L t Easter at St. Paul's Church. One of the last three days of Holy Week the various services were re- markably well attended. It was for the first time in the history of the church of St. Paul that the interesting J ceremonies of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday were car- ried out completely. For Easter Sunday the altars of the church were very tastefully decorated J by the ladies of the parish. Neither ex- pense nor work was spared by them. Easter lilies and sweet carnations she-.l their perfume in honor etf the Risen T Master, while bright-eyed sisters smiled loving thoughts of adoration, remind- ing Him silently of the kind hands that had placed them on the altars. Nu- nierous potted plants placed in the x sanctuary added to the: attractiveness of the decorations. At the morning masses no standing room even was to be had. At the sec- J ond mass, which was a "Missi Can- J tata." the choir under the excellent di- rection of Miss McGuiness, very ably rendered the beautiful mass by Lugi Bordese, the Ilegina Coli being sung at T the offertory. Father Dreyer gave an J excellent instruction, both in English and French. In the evening the discourse given by Father Dreyer was on "Lessons on J the Resurrection. Faith. Hope, Char- ity.' The altar looked its brightest for the occasion, being artistically deco- rated with flowers and many candles. X The Catholics of Nampa may well be proud of the progress made by their church within the last few years, the interest, taken by the members of the community is the best proof of their appreciation.
