Show Weston High News Twenty-two Weston high school football players answered Coach Onan Mecham's squad call last week. Piloted by Arlin Mecham, cap tain, the exerienced lettermen are as follows: Jay Coburn, Wayne Bowden, Paul Naef, Ted Jensen, Keith Taylor, Ronald Bergeson and Bland Phillips. Arimo, Thatcher, Franklin and Weston have scheduled their league games beginning September 20. A six man football team has been developed de-veloped this year instead of the usual eleven. The first of the two home games will be played with Arimo on September 20. Weston Trojans will meet Franklin pilots on their home field on September 27. The philosophy of Home Economics Eco-nomics isn't what it used to be in the olden days. Today the housewife house-wife must know how to icare for the sick and care for her children as well as to know about their diets. The Home Economic teacher. Miss Frischknecht, will teach the art of living in detail. The sophomore class of Weston High announces that Friday 13 will be a very 'unlucky' day for the freshmen who are going to be initiated ini-tiated into the student body. The initiation assembly will take place Friday afternoon and will be followed by a watermelon bust. The Freshmen will be the goats of the assembly and will probably do most of the entertaining. Friday evening a large student body dance will be held at the Weston High School gymnasium in honor of the Freshmen the new members of the Weston High. |
