The play ers are being pivkeii from the teams participating in 'he eighth annual Little World Series held l.,si Sunday at Franklin. Although the definite lineups of either team have not been selected and probably will not be selected until game time Sunday, nevertheless neverthe-less a strong team will represent both sounds and a real battle should be played. Four members from each team will participate during the day's play with pitchers to be limited to three innings each in all probability. , Among players being most prom. im.liy -mentioned on the Idaho s-piads are Abner DeM.He, Be t Stewart. Tics 1'ortcr, Frank Mock-H. Mock-H. and Dee Cook from the Preston Cubs; Ike Hirst, Howard Stone and Leo Boden from Franklin; Wood-row Wood-row Eriekson, Bob Murray and two others from Clifton and four players play-ers from Fairview. Likely candidates from Utah are Albert Day, Carl Nyman, Orson Bailey, and Jay Whitman, Richmond- Grant, Vern and Tom Ban-and Ban-and Stan Richardson of Lewiston; Gordon Cottle, Norman and Dean Andrews, and Julius Jensen of Trenton; and Brig Griffin, Archibald Archi-bald and others of Clarkston. The game will commence at 3 p. m. on the Franklin diamond. |
